Winning in the Most Effective Use of AR and VR category is an incredible achievement for the whole team. It is also a testament that technology needs to do more to take on the great challenges of our time.
Teaming up with the WHO
One Shot Immersive has teamed up with the World Health Organisation to trial the use of its VR medical training experiences in conflict zones, security constrained and resource poor environments. This will include Yemen, Somalia, Afghanistan, Palestine and Pakistan.
One Shot Immersive wins a BIMA award
We won a BIMA Award for our work in Yemen using VR to train doctors for mass casualty events. This achievement raises the profile of the work we are trying to do, viz. using technology to save lives in the places that need it the most. Thank you to our partners at Foolproof who made this possible.
The David Nott Foundation hosts One Shot Immersive on the Syrian border
We joined a team from the David Nott Foundation in Turkey, where surgeons attended the Surgical Training for Austere Environments course. We introduced the concept of Virtual Reality training, received feedback and collected ideas on how this might assist in sharing knowledge during times of conflict.
